General Manager - Monday-Friday

General Manager – Contract Catering (Leeds)

About the Role

Salary: £40,000 per annum Location: Leeds, LS10 1AB Shift Pattern: Monday–Friday, 08:00–16:30 (40-hour workweek)


Key Responsibilities

Team & Operations Leadership

  • Oversee the day-to-day running of the restaurant, café, deli, bar, and service areas, ensuring smooth operations during high-volume periods (400–800 covers daily).
  • Maintain consistent service standards, efficient throughput, and a strong customer experience in a fast-paced, commercial environment.

Profitability & Performance

  • Drive profitability through cost control, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Manage food and labour costs to meet contract catering targets, monitor daily revenue performance, and maximise retail sales opportunities across all outlets.
  • Align retail strategy to improve product range, displays, pricing, and promotions, boosting customer spend.

Team Management & Development

  • Lead and motivate a team of 10 staff, ensuring effective rota planning to match peak trading patterns.
  • Provide coaching, performance management, and training to uphold high standards and foster a strong, engaged team culture.

Innovation & Strategy

  • Collaborate with culinary and commercial teams to evolve menus and retail offerings for a contract catering environment.
  • Introduce initiatives to enhance customer engagement, improve efficiency, and respond to changing client and consumer demands.
