General Manager - North Laine
Managing Partner – North Laine Brewhouse
About The Role
The North Laine is Brighton’s premier multi-use venue, thoughtfully evolving into the city’s most inclusive sports bar. We’re transforming our late-night entertainment to create a vibrant sports destination that welcomes everyone—families, students, sports enthusiasts, social leagues, and the LGBTQ+ community.
Our expansive space, renowned food offering, and diverse entertainment (gaming, pool, shuffleboard) make it the perfect place for connection and enjoyment. We’re carving our own path as the alternative to exclusionary venues, where everyone belongs, every match matters, and great food, good company, and inclusive community are at the heart of everything.
We live by equal opportunities, because diversity isn’t a box to check—it’s a mindset. The North Laine is a melting pot of individuals where weird is wonderful, and different is divine. Homogeneity is a no from us.
The Opportunity
If you’re a hospitality leader, a community builder, or an entrepreneur with a passion for creating inclusive spaces, this is your chance to own the future of The North Laine Brewhouse.
As Managing Partner, you’ll shape operations, strategy, and experience—from late-night sports bars to corporate events, music gigs, or brewery applications. It’s your vision, your iterations, and your legacy.
Why This Role?
• Your pub, your vision – You’ll set the tone, challenge the norm, and run things your way—while we handle the backstage logistics. • Profit with purpose – Success means profit sharing, ensuring you and your team thrive together. • Creative freedom – From live music to beer classes, you’ll have the autonomy to innovate boldly. • Performance rewards – Bonuses that celebrate your wins and drive your growth. • Collaborate & scale – Backed by Laine HQ with resources for leadership training, workshops, and networking. • Perks with personality – Discounts, exclusive events, and a culture that prioritises fun and community. • Thank your peers – Join a movement, shaping the future of hospitality in Brighton and beyond.
Reasons to use Rodeo
I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.
