General Manager, CDMO Drug Product
Location: United Kingdom, Multi-Site.
We are partnering with a global contract development manufacturing organisation to appoint an experienced General Manager to lead a large-scale operational business unit undergoing a period of continued investment, growth, and strategic evolution.
This executive leadership position carries full responsibility for business performance, organisational effectiveness, customer partnerships, operational execution, and long-term value creation. The successful candidate will inherit an established leadership team and be tasked with driving sustainable growth, strengthening operational performance, and ensuring the business is positioned to meet future market opportunities.
Operating at the intersection of commercial strategy and operational delivery, this individual will work closely with executive leadership to shape business priorities, execute growth initiatives, and build organisational capability across a complex, highly regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities Include:
- Full ownership of business unit performance, including revenue growth, profitability, operational delivery, and customer success.
- Leading a senior leadership team whilst fostering a culture of accountability, collaboration, and high performance.
- Developing and executing strategic initiatives that improve competitiveness, scalability, and long-term business value.
- Driving operational and organisational transformation programmes to support future growth objectives.
- Building strong relationships with key customers, strategic partners, and executive stakeholders.
- Identifying opportunities for organic growth, increased operational efficiency, and improved financial performance.
- Supporting capital investment decisions and long-range business planning.
- Developing leadership capability and succession plans to ensure organisational sustainability.
- Ensuring the highest standards of quality, compliance, governance, and risk management.

Your Profile:
Successful candidates will likely bring:
- Significant senior leadership experience with direct P&L accountability.
- Experience leading sizeable operational organisations through growth, investment, integration, or transformation.
- Demonstrated ability to improve business performance while maintaining customer excellence.
- Strong commercial acumen and the ability to translate strategy into measurable outcomes.
- Experience operating within private equity-backed, publicly listed, or multinational environments.
- A track record of building, developing, and retaining high-performing leadership teams.
- Strong stakeholder management skills with the credibility to engage at executive and board level.
- The ability to balance strategic leadership with operational execution.
