  • Prepare relevant papers and submissions for consideration of the Board.
  • Act as interface with investors/shareholders, financing parties, debt providers, insurances, and regulators and other key stakeholders to support the safe, compliant, and commercially successful operation of the Project Company.

Governance and Leadership:

  • During the Interim Operations Phase, act as an independent, Shareholder-aligned leader engaged with but not embedded within the Project delivery team, providing oversight and constructive challenge on operational matters.
  • The general manager will be accountable to the JV board post COD (including board reporting, coordination of board meetings, and chairing of operations committees) and will take responsibility for the delivery of significant P&L and budget.
  • Support the effective functioning of the established governance forums (including the Board and Steering Committees) to ensure sound decision-making, effective oversight, and consistent shareholder representation within the Project Company’s operating framework.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
