General Manager

Multi-Franchise Automotive Retail Operation | Portadown

Lead Performance. Inspire People. Drive Growth.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for an ambitious and commercially astute General Manager to join one of Northern Ireland's most successful and progressive automotive retail groups.

Following a period of significant growth, investment, and industry recognition, we are seeking an exceptional leader to take responsibility for a large multi-franchise operation, overseeing several dealerships and key support functions.

This is a high-profile leadership role offering full operational responsibility for:

Reporting directly to the Chief Operating Officer, you will play a pivotal role in shaping the future success of the business.

As General Manager, you will have overall responsibility for the:

  • Leadership
  • Management
  • Performance

of a substantial automotive retail operation, ensuring:

  • Excellence across sales, aftersales, and support functions
  • Operational excellence, maximised profitability
  • An exceptional customer experience

This role requires a leader who can balance:

  • Strategic planning
  • Hands-on operational management

— ensuring both short-term objectives and long-term business goals are achieved.


About You

We’re looking for an experienced automotive leader who can demonstrate:

  • Significant senior management experience within the motor retail sector
  • A proven track record of delivering strong commercial results
  • Experience managing large, multi-disciplinary teams
  • Strong financial and operational acumen
  • Exceptional leadership, coaching, and communication skills
  • Experience working with Dealer Management Systems (DMS)
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
  • A proactive and solutions-focused approach to leadership
