About the Role

This is a role for a business-oriented leader who motivates teams, drives growth, and shapes regional impact in line with global strategy. Here, you lead a key part of our sales organization, strengthen customer partnerships and position Sandvik Coromant at the forefront of metal cutting innovation. Operating in a global environment, you shape strategy into action while driving sustainable growth across a diverse European market.

Your Mission

As General Manager for Sales Area South and West Europe, you lead and grow the business in line with agreed targets for sales, profitability and market share. You turn global strategies into regional execution, ensure operational excellence, and continuously evolve the organization to meet market demands. You report to the Vice President of Global Sales.

Job responsibilities

  • Drive sales performance, pricing, profitability and market share across the region
  • Execute global strategies and processes with clear regional impact
  • Develop and implement effective sales tactics and value-based selling
  • Build strong relationships with key customers, partners and stakeholders
  • Develop talent, succession pipelines and high-performing teams
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, company policies and financial guidelines

Location and flexibility

The location is flexible within the Sales Area. Extensive travel is a natural part of the position.

Your profile

This role calls for a strategic and business-driven leader with a strong understanding of industrial markets and sales excellence. A background combining technical and commercial expertise enables you to navigate complex customer needs and competitive landscapes. Success in this role comes from combining strategic thinking with hands-on execution. You build trust through clear communication, inspire teams through inclusive leadership, and confidently drive change in a global environment.

Your background includes:

  • A university degree in engineering, business or a related field
  • Extensive experience leading a commercial business in a global or industrial environment
  • Strong understanding of customers, markets and competitive dynamics
  • Financial acumen with the ability to balance growth and profitability
  • Excellent communication skills in English, both written and spoken
