Evening and weekend work required (particularly for weddings)

About The Role

A senior role at the heart of a creative, independent venue — leading weddings, private hire and helping drive its growth.

The Forge hosts weddings, parties, business meetings and events. No two weeks look the same.
This maternity cover is an opportunity to step into a key leadership role within a small, growing business — ideal for someone looking to build experience in the wedding and events industry.

You’ll lead wedding bookings from first enquiry through to on-the-day coordination, working closely with clients and making sure every detail is planned and in place. Weddings are a core part of the business, and you’ll take full ownership of that journey.
You’ll also work closely with the Founder on marketing and content, shaping how the venue is positioned and helping develop a new in-house events programme.

Alongside weddings, you’ll manage private parties and corporate bookings — from enquiry and viewings through to planning — ensuring each event is fully prepared and clearly handed over to the Duty Manager and team.

As senior lead, you’ll oversee the day-to-day running of the venue and act as the main point of contact for anything that needs escalation. You’ll keep operations running smoothly while maintaining high standards across the venue.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
