General Manager – Product Innovation & Portfolio Leadership

Location: Worcestershire (Minimum 4 days per week)

Are you a commercially-minded product leader who can turn customer insight into market-leading innovation?

A global technology business, backed by a leading international investor, is seeking a General Manager to lead a flagship product portfolio with revenues exceeding £100m. This is a rare opportunity to take end-to-end ownership of product strategy, innovation, R&D direction and portfolio performance within a highly respected scientific instrumentation business.

You'll sit on the senior leadership team and be the driving force behind translating market needs into winning products, accelerating innovation, and delivering sustainable growth.

The Opportunity

  • Own the strategy, performance and future success of a global product line
  • Lead Product Management and R&D teams across international locations
  • Shape technology roadmaps, product portfolios and investment priorities
  • Act as the key link between customers, commercial teams, engineering and manufacturing
  • Drive faster innovation, stronger execution and improved commercial results
  • Partner with Operations, Supply Chain and Manufacturing to ensure seamless product delivery
  • Play a central role in an ambitious growth and transformation programme

We're Looking For

  • Senior leadership experience within scientific instrumentation, analytical instruments, life sciences, diagnostics, laboratory technology, medical devices or related high-tech capital equipment
  • Strong Product Management and portfolio leadership background (essential)
  • Experience translating customer and market insight into successful product roadmaps
  • Commercially astute with proven P&L responsibility
  • Credibility leading technical and R&D organisations
  • Experience operating within complex global matrix organisations
  • A leader who brings pace, energy, accountability and a strong results mindset
