This is a fantastic opportunity to work on a nationally significant infrastructure project while developing your skills within one of the UK's leading construction and engineering organisations.

What you'll be doing

As a General Operative, you will support the safe and efficient delivery of maintenance, refurbishment, civil engineering and railway infrastructure works across the Forth Rail Bridge project. Working as part of a dedicated site team, you will play a key role in ensuring works are completed to the highest standards of safety, quality and productivity.

  • Operate basic tools and equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping across work locations.

  • Support lifting, loading and unloading activities.
  • Assist with inspections, maintenance and repair activities.
  • Ensure all work is completed in accordance with project quality standards.
  • Report hazards, close calls and safety concerns promptly.
  • Work collaboratively with colleagues, subcontractors and project stakeholders.
  • Participate in toolbox talks, safety briefings and training activities.

  • Good communication and teamwork skills.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including occasional nights and weekends.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.
  • Ability to work at height in accordance with safety procedures.
  • Reliable, punctual and safety-focused attitude.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
