About the Role

We are looking for a General Operative to join our Milton Keynes team, supporting groundworkers and trade colleagues to deliver high quality repairs and refurbishment works to housing properties. This is a hands-on role suited to someone with construction experience who takes pride in their work and values delivering excellent customer service.

Working across Milton Keynes and the surrounding areas, you will play an important part in ensuring works are completed safely, efficiently and to a high standard, contributing to first time fix and positive outcomes for our customers.

As a General Operative, you will work as part of a local team undertaking general repairs and refurbishment activities within occupied properties.

Role Responsibilities

  • Working alongside groundworkers and other trades
  • Mixing cement and loading materials such as bricks
  • Sweeping, tidying and maintaining a clean and safe working environment
  • Assisting other trades as required
  • Undertaking construction, repair and maintenance tasks to agreed standards
  • Ensuring health and safety requirements are followed at all times
  • Using a handheld device to complete worksheets, timesheets and record works
  • Collecting and managing materials and van stock as required

  • Understanding of building materials

  • Full UK driving licence desirable
