Role Profile
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out general labouring duties to support depot operations.
- Assist with the loading, unloading, and movement of tools, equipment, and materials.
- Operate workshop and site equipment safely, following relevant training and instructions.
- Maintain a clean, tidy, and organised work area, adhering to all Health, Safety & Environmental standards.
- Support skilled operatives, supervisors, and engineers with day-to-day tasks as required.
- Follow instructions accurately, both verbally and in written form.
- Report any hazards, damage, or equipment faults promptly to supervisors.
- Handle materials and equipment safely, including manual handling tasks associated with large or heavy items.
- Work as part of a team to help meet project schedules and operational targets.
- Assist other departments within the depot when required to maintain workflow and productivity.
Key Skills
- Experience working in a construction, industrial, or depot environment (preferred but not essential).
- Ability to work safely with tools, equipment, and machinery (training provided where necessary).
- Strong teamwork skills with the ability to communicate clearly and follow instructions.
- Good awareness of health and safety requirements and safe working practices.
- Physically capable of manual handling tasks and manoeuvring materials or equipment.
- Basic understanding of site operations and willingness to learn new skills and processes.
- Good organisational skills with the ability to keep work areas clean and orderly.

Qualifications
- CSCS card (preferred but not essential).
- Any relevant training certificates (manual handling, abrasive wheels, etc.) are beneficial.
Qualifications & Other Requirements
- Willingness to undertake additional training as required for the role.
- Forklift or lifting equipment experience would be an advantage.
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-focused approach to work.
