Join our team as a General Operative (traffic management)!

Location: Shotts ML7 5DW

Must hold a full driving licence (no more than 6 points) to be eligible for this role

We offer three flexible shift patterns designed to support a healthy balance between your work commitments and personal life. These can be a combination of days and nights.

  • 12 days on 2 days off (work 12 days, weekend off and continue)
  • 6 days on 1 day off
  • Part-time over 4 days - Shift patterns of Sat-Tue or Thurs-Sun

We also have vacancies for high-speed operatives, which involve night shifts. These roles require a 12AB Lantra qualification"

We provide professional traffic management services across various sectors, including Highways, Local Authorities, Utilities, Rail, and Events. Role Overview

As a Traffic Management Operative, you’ll play a crucial role in ensuring safe and efficient traffic flow on highways and construction sites. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Setting up and maintaining traffic management systems
  • Safely directing traffic during roadworks, events, and emergencies
  • Collaborating with colleagues and clients to ensure smooth operations
  • Upholding our people-first culture and contributing to our fresh cultural change program

Requirements For General Operative (Traffic Management)

  • Eligibility to work in UK
  • Flexibility to work shift patterns as stated above
  • Full UK Driving License with no more than 6 points and held for more than 10 months
  • Within 40 minutes driving distance from depot
  • Valid traffic management qualifications (e.g., Lantra 12AB,12D M1/M2, or Unit 2. (desirable not essential)
