General Handy Person - HMP Lincoln
Standard Hours: 39 hours per week (7-day rota with 1 in 3 weekends, plus 15% salary allowance)
Salary: £27,426
At Amey, we support His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing safe, clean, and efficient prisons. We manage 60 secure premises across England and Wales, ensuring smooth operations through our facilities management expertise.
The General Handy Person ensures that maintenance work within the prisons is carried out safely, compliantly, and timely.
What you will do
- Collaborate with a dynamic team to perform general maintenance tasks and assist tradespeople on site.
- Take on various facility management duties as directed by the team manager.
- Maintain high health and safety standards across the contract.
- Contribute to local and business zero carbon initiatives, working strategically towards sustainability goals.
What you will bring
- Solid experience in DIY/general building maintenance.
- CITB relevant certification or equivalent.
- Willingness to learn new skills.
- Ability to work well in a team.
