Application Deadline: 24 July 2026

Department: Operations

Location: Perth

Compensation: £13.50 - £14.00 / hour

Description

This role has been created as part of the continued expansion of the Perth site, driven by an increase in Small Domestic Appliance (SDA) tonnage being processed. To support this growth, additional pre-pick shifts have been introduced, requiring enhanced supervision and coordination to maintain safe and efficient operations. As a Pre-Pick Operative at Enva, you will play a key role in the identification, sorting and preparation of Small Domestic Appliances (SDA) prior to processing. You will be responsible for ensuring that incoming materials are correctly segregated and prepared for downstream processing, supporting safe, efficient and compliant recycling operations. This role contributes directly to operational efficiency by ensuring quality feed into processing lines and minimising contamination.

Key Responsibilities

  • Direct materials to the correct processing streams.
  • Quality Control: Inspect incoming waste to maintain quality standards and reduce contamination within recycling processes.
  • Throughput Support: Work to maintain consistent feed to processing areas, supporting productivity and operational flow.
  • Health, Safety & Environmental Compliance: Follow all site procedures, ensuring safe handling of materials and reporting any risks, defects or incidents.
  • Team Collaboration: Work with supervisors and operatives to meet daily targets and operational requirements.
  • Housekeeping: Maintain a clean, safe and organised working area at all times. This role is primarily focused on pre-pick operations for SDA processing; however, you may be required to support other areas of the site in line with business needs and where appropriately trained including yard, pre-pick, or other operational areas as required by the business.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
