The Role

Position: Intermediate Heat Exchanger Process Operator Reports To: Process Working Team Leader

This technical production role focuses on intermediate processing and finishing of aerospace-grade heat exchanger assemblies, including conversion coating, degreasing, cleaning, and mechanical preparation. The candidate must demonstrate precision, adherence to standards, and adaptability to shift work, which includes night shifts and potential flexibility across different shift patterns.


Key Responsibilities

  • Conversion Coating & Processing:
    • Apply chemical coatings to heat exchangers in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs).
    • Monitor the effluent plant to ensure compliance with discharge consent license regulations.

  • Cleaning & Drying:

    • Degrease and clean heat exchangers using aqueous or solvent equipment, following precise:
      • Cleanliness testing protocols
      • Oven curing & vacuum drying procedures (SOPs)
  • Mechanical Preparation:

    • Use bead blast equipment, portable tools, or other machinery to mechanically prepare heat exchangers according to SOPs.
  • Equipment Maintenance & Compliance:

    • Conduct daily use checks and perform Total Productive Maintenance (TPM) on all process equipment.
    • Operate within Nadcap Chemical Processing procedural frameworks.

Working Shifts

Flexible schedule required—successful applicants must be available to work rotating shifts:

  • Morning Shift:

    • 6:00 AM–1:45 PM (Mon–Thu)
    • 6:00 AM–12:00 PM (Fri)
  • Afternoon Shift:

    • 2:00 PM–10:00 PM (Mon–Thu)
    • 12:15 PM–5:15 PM (Fri)

Security & Legal Requirements

This role may involve handling export-controlled information under applicable laws, including Europe and the US. Employment is contingent on successful security checks, potential export license approval, and—if necessary—a non-disclosure agreement (NDA).

Essential Experience & Skills

Must-Have Qualifications / Experience:

  • Proven experience as a chemical process operator (individuals without experience will receive training).

Critical Mereits:

  • High attention to detail & precision under SOP guidelines.
  • Ability to work within NADcap compliant standards (preferred but not required).
