General Postdoctoral Researcher (Masters/PhDs) – AI Training

About The Role

What if your years of advanced research could directly shape how the world’s most powerful AI systems think, reason, and solve problems? We’re looking for PhD and Master’s-level researchers to work alongside leading AI labs—designing the complex, multi-disciplinary problems that push AI reasoning to its limits.

This is a fully remote, flexible contract role built for serious researchers. You’ll bring the depth, the rigor, and the domain expertise. We’ll match you to projects where your knowledge creates real impact.

Organization: Alignerr Type: Hourly Contract Location: Remote Commitment: 10–40 hours/week


What You’ll Do

  • Develop, solve, and review advanced problems across acute STEM and professional domains with real-world relevance
  • Apply your research expertise to design complex, challenging problem statements that stress-test and improve AI reasoning
  • Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and domain experts to enhance model performance
  • Evaluate AI outputs for:
    • Academic rigor
    • Logical soundness
    • Depth
  • Ensure clarity and precision across all deliverables—the same standard expected in peer-reviewed submissions

Who You Are

Requirements

  • Hold a Master’s or PhD in a STEM or highly technical field from a top university
  • Strong track record of:
    • Research
    • Publications
    • Complex technical project management
  • Exceptional written communication skills—able to explain difficult ideas with clarity and precision
  • Detail-oriented, methodical, and comfortable working independently
  • Fluent in English and based in:
    • United States
    • Canada
    • New Zealand
    • United Kingdom
    • Australia
