General Postdoctoral Researcher (Masters/PhDs) - AI Training
About The Role
What if your years of research, your hard-won expertise, and your ability to think through complex problems could directly shape the AI systems that millions of people will rely on?
We're looking for postdoctoral researchers, PhD holders, and Masters-level academics to work alongside leading AI research labs — designing rigorous, high-complexity problems that push AI reasoning to its limits. This isn't data entry. This is expert-level intellectual work that puts your domain knowledge at the center of something genuinely important.
Fully remote, asynchronously structured, and flexible enough to fit around your existing commitments — this role is built for researchers who want meaningful, well-compensated work on their own terms.
Organization: Alignerr
Type: Hourly Contract
Location: Remote
Commitment: 10–40 hours/week
What You'll Do
- Design and solve advanced, multi-disciplinary problems with real-world relevance that challenge and improve AI reasoning capabilities
- Apply your domain expertise to craft complex problem statements and evaluate AI outputs with rigorous academic standards
- Review and assess AI-generated solutions across technical and scientific domains for accuracy, depth, and logical soundness
- Collaborate asynchronously with AI researchers and fellow domain experts to iteratively improve model performance
- Ensure academic rigor, intellectual clarity, and depth across every deliverable you produce

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
