Beach Baker is delighted to share an excellent opportunity to recruit an experienced Surveyor to join a prestigious independent property consultancy in Surrey.

About the Role

This role offers a surveyor the chance to focus primarily on commercial property management while taking on broader general practice duties.

The role will dominate in managing a broad commercial property portfolio across London & Surrey, covering office, retail, and industrial assets. Experience in landlord-tenant matters, valuations, and some agency work will be developed too.

Responsibilities include:

  • Driving effective client relationships
  • Handling daily asset management
  • Supporting various surveying instructions

Responsibilities

  • Manage commercial property portfolios, including landlord-tenant liaisons
  • Oversee property inspections and coordinate maintenance & service charge matters
  • Ensure best practices and client objectives are adhered to
  • Provide lease-related advice such as rent reviews & renewals
  • Support acquisitions, disposals, and lettings when needed
  • Assist with valuations and professional work
  • Build and maintain strong client relationships
  • Deliver clear, concise reports

Requirements

Highly effective candidates will:

  • Demonstrate proven commercial property management expertise
  • Benefit from exposure to broader general surveying (desirable)
  • Hold MRICS/AssocRICS (advantageous but not mandatory)
  • Exhibit strong communication and organisational skills
  • Be proactive, solution-focused, and commercially astute
  • Manage multiple diverse tasks effectively
  • Hold a full UK driving licence
