General Practitioner

Self-Employed General Practitioners (GPs) – London Doctors Clinic (LDC)

Contract: Contract/Self-Employed Working Hours: Part-Time (Weekends – Saturday & Sunday) Location: Ability to travel to Kingston, Wimbledon, and Central London locations

Salary: Fixed hourly rates plus London Weighting

About the Role

As part of the Spire Healthcare Group, London Doctors Clinic (LDC) is seeking self-employed General Practitioners (GPs) to provide high-quality primary care consultations and health assessments on weekends across London.

You will play a pivotal role in helping our patients, clients, and teams achieve better health outcomes.

Working across our clinic network, you will be the first point of contact for patients, focusing on:

  • Health promotion & disease prevention
  • Management of chronic conditions
  • Delivering compassionate, evidence-based care with an emphasis on quality and empathy

Essential Requirements

  • Ability to deliver face-to-face and online GP consultations & health assessments
  • Provide history taking, diagnosis, investigation, treatment, and appropriate referrals
  • Offer health promotion & preventative care advice to all patients
  • Uphold clinical excellence and contribute to patient satisfaction satisfy initiatives
  • Collaborate with GP Clinical Lead and the broader LDC team to maintain clinical governance
  • Competent in essential clinical procedures, including:
    • Phlebotomy
    • Smear Tests
    • Electrocardiograms (ECGs)

About You

  • Fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC)
  • A completed medical degree or specialist qualification
  • Current experience in general practice
  • Demonstrable professionalism & empathy in patient care
  • Strong time management and adaptability in a fast-paced environment

  • Operating hours: 8:00 AM – 8:00 PM (flexible)
  • Appointment types: In-person & virtual (clinic attendance mandatory)
  • Patient load: Support up to 6,000 patients per month
