The Primary Care General Practitioner
The Primary Care General Practitioner provides comprehensive, patient-centred medical care to individuals and families within the community setting. The GP is responsible for diagnosing and managing acute and chronic illnesses, promoting health and wellbeing, delivering preventative care, and coordinating with multidisciplinary teams to ensure high-quality, safe, and effective healthcare services.

As a Primary Care GP you will:
- Conduct face-to-face, telephone, and remote consultations.
- Diagnose, treat, and manage a broad range of medical conditions.
- Prescribe medications safely and appropriately in line with clinical guidelines.
- Request, interpret, and act upon diagnostic investigations.
- Manage patients with long-term conditions.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and confidential clinical records.
- Make appropriate referrals to secondary or specialist care services.
