General Practitioner (GP) Urgent Care - Face to Face

General Practitioner (GP) Urgent Care – (Face to Face)

The Role

Urgent care is where your clinical judgement matters most.

It’s where you encounter the full spectrum – from reassuring patients to escalating critical cases, all dans minutes. It’s fast-paced, varied, and genuinely impactful.

At IC24, we seek Urgent Care GPs (Face-to-Face) who embrace flexibility, broader exposure, and the backing of a fully integrated urgent care system.

Urgent care is one of the most exciting and evolving specialities in the UK, involving assessment and treatment of illness or injury requiring urgent medical attention. It helps prevent life-threatening deterioration and directs patients to the most appropriate service, whether through NHS 111, out-of-hours GP services, Urgent Treatment Centres (UTCs), pharmacy care, or coordinated system responses.

This role is primarily based on face-to-face care (e.g., UTCs, home visits) but also allows opportunities to work remotely through Clinical Assessment Services (CAS), offering flexibility to tailor your workload.

At IC24, urgent care isn’t fragmented—it’s connected.

You’ll contribute to a system that streamlines decision-making, reduces unnecessary admissions, and ensures patients receive the right care the first time. We’re a key partner in the NHS and a driving force in developing GP-led urgent care, with our Unscheduled Care Coordination Hubs (UCCH) in Norfolk and Essex.

What You’ll Focus On

  • Delivering high-quality, face-to-face urgent care Provide assessment and management of patients across urgent care settings, including UTCs and home visits, tackling a spectrum of complex, undifferentiated presentations.

  • Making confident, timely clinical decisions Prioritise clinical need, manage risk, and ensure patients follow the safest care pathway—whether that involves treatment, referral, or escalation.

  • Utilising your full clinical skillset Beyond face-to-face roles, you’ll engage in telephone triage and Clinical Assessment Services (CAS) for remote consultations and expert guidance.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
