All potential applicants are encouraged to scroll through and read the complete job description before applying.

If you’re searching for an opportunity to develop your skills in a manufacturing role with opportunities for career progression, look no further!

We are recruiting a General Production Operative to join our team based in Disley. This role is on a days, working 8 hours, Monday to Friday, 8am until 5pm.

Please be mindful that within the operational part of our tissue mills, you may encounter some humidity, puddles on the ground from water residue, and a scent from waste-water extraction. We minimise this as much as reasonably possible, however this is a common theme within a tissue mill setting, and we remain fully committed to our ‘Zero Harm by Choice’ guiding principle.

About the Role

To provide the mill with general operative support in order to meet site standards to maintain product consistency, equipment reliability, operational efficiency and maximise factory output, in compliance with group policies.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
