Location: West Sussex
Salary: £40,000–£50,000 Basic + £60,000–£70,000 OTE
The Opportunity
We are currently seeking an experienced and driven General Sales Manager to join a successful automotive dealership in West Sussex. This is an excellent opportunity for a proven sales leader to take responsibility for the performance of a busy sales department, driving profitability, customer satisfaction, and team development.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to achieve and exceed targets.
- Drive new and used vehicle sales performance.
- Manage departmental KPIs, profitability, and stock levels.
- Ensure an exceptional customer experience throughout the sales journey.
- Monitor and improve sales processes and compliance standards.
- Work closely with the senior leadership team to deliver business objectives.
- Recruit, coach, and mentor team members to maximise performance.
- Maintain strong relationships with manufacturer and finance partners.

Requirements
- Previous experience as a General Sales Manager, Sales Manager, or senior automotive sales professional.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Proven track record of delivering sales growth and profitability.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and customer service skills.
- Ability to analyse performance data and implement effective strategies.
- Full UK driving licence.
