Job Title: General Sales Manager

Location: Horsham Geely

About The Role

We are seeking an experienced and inspirational General Sales Manager to lead the sales operation at our brand-new Geely dealership in Horsham. This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the launch and development of a new franchise within Drift Bridge Group, helping to establish Geely as a leading automotive brand in the region.

As General Sales Manager, you will be responsible for leading, developing, and motivating the sales team to achieve outstanding results while delivering an exceptional customer experience. You will oversee all aspects of the sales operation, driving performance, profitability, customer satisfaction, and compliance. This role is ideal for a proven automotive sales leader who thrives on building high-performing teams and is excited by the opportunity to shape a new dealership from the ground up.

Key Responsibilities

  • Sales Leadership: Lead, motivate, and develop the sales team to consistently achieve and exceed vehicle sales, finance, and profitability targets.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and manage key performance indicators, ensuring effective sales processes and accountability across the team.
  • Customer Experience: Champion a customer-first culture, ensuring every customer receives a professional, personalised, and seamless buying experience.
  • Team Development: Recruit, coach, and mentor team members, creating a high-performance environment focused on continuous improvement and career development.
  • Sales Process Management: Ensure adherence to manufacturer standards, company policies, FCA regulations, and all relevant compliance requirements.
  • Stock Management: Work closely with senior management to manage vehicle stock levels, pricing strategies, and product availability to maximise sales opportunities.
  • Business Planning: Develop and implement sales strategies and action plans to drive market share, revenue growth, and customer retention.
  • Financial Performance: Monitor departmental profitability, managing costs and driving finance, insurance, and value-added product performance.
  • Customer Relationship Management: Maintain strong relationships with customers, local businesses, and key stakeholders to support long-term business growth.
  • Reporting and Analysis: Produce and analyse sales performance reports, identifying trends, opportunities, and areas for improvement.

About You

We are looking for a driven and commercially focused General Sales Manager with a proven track record of success within automotive retail. You will be an effective leader who can inspire teams, build strong customer relationships, and deliver outstanding business results.

You should possess excellent communication and leadership skills, a strong understanding of dealership operations, and the ability to adapt to the demands of a fast-paced and evolving environment. Experience managing sales teams and delivering exceptional customer satisfaction is essential.

A full UK driving licence is required.
