General Manager - Sports & Leisure Venue
Various Locations Across Central & Greater London
£37,000 - £42,000 + Performance Bonus
Lead a team. Grow a business. Make a real impact.
At Powerleague, we're more than football.
Every week, thousands of customers visit our clubs to play, compete, socialise and connect. With football at our heart, padel growing rapidly across the UK, and exciting plans for the future, there's never been a better time to join us.
We're looking for resilient, commercially minded leaders who enjoy improving standards, developing teams and driving performance. Whether you're leading an established operation or helping improve performance across one of our developing locations, you'll have the opportunity to make a visible impact on both the business and the people around you.
This is not a desk-based management role. It's a role for someone who enjoys being in the operation, developing great teams, building customer relationships and driving commercial performance.
⚽ The Role
As General Manager, you'll have overall responsibility for the success of your venue.
You'll lead from the front, creating an environment where your team can thrive, customers have a fantastic experience and commercial results follow.
You'll be equally comfortable coaching your management team, driving commercial performance, developing community partnerships and supporting the operation during busy trading periods.
Working closely with your Regional Operations Manager, you'll have the autonomy to make decisions, solve problems, improve standards and influence the future success of your business.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
