£36,000 - £40,000 (depending on experience) + Performance Bonus
Lead one of our busiest community sports venues.
Every week, hundreds of people visit Powerleague Newham to play football, celebrate birthdays, compete with friends, and spend time with their local community.
We're looking for a hands-on leader to take ownership of one of our busiest community venues. This is an opportunity to build a successful business, develop a great team, and become a familiar face within the local community.
At Powerleague, we're investing in the future of our business, and we're looking for someone who enjoys leading from the front, developing people, and creating a venue that customers want to return to time and again.
⚽ The Role
As Club Manager, you'll be responsible for the overall success of the venue, leading a close-knit team of up to 10 colleagues.
From coaching your team and driving commercial performance to building relationships with local schools, grassroots football teams, and businesses, no two days are the same. Working closely with your Regional Operations Manager, you'll take ownership of the business, raise standards, and identify opportunities to grow participation and revenue.

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?
Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.
Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
