Generator Engineer

Generator Engineer – Power

Location: Brigg (UK), with nationwide travel & occasional overnight trips


About the Role

We are seeking a Generator Engineer to focus on delivering, installing, maintaining, and supporting our generator, pump, filtration equipment, and tank solutions for customers across the UK. Your role will involve hands-on work at customer sites, ensuring efficient installation, commissioning, handover, and maintenance—both on-site and at our fully-equipped branch location.

The role is 40 hours per week (Monday–Friday), with flexibility to work overtime as required.


Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver, install, and decommission our range of generators, pumps, filtration equipment, and tanks for customers
  • Perform mechanical servicing, fault finding, and repairs on-site or at our workshop
  • Hand over equipment and train customers on correct usage and safety protocols
  • Support operational project preparation, coordinating with mechanical, electrical, and diesel systems
  • Monitor spare parts inventory and maintain optimal stock levels
  • Provide guidance and support to other team members
  • Complete regular maintenance inspections and ensure reliability of our rental fleet

Your Profile

  • Strong electrical background with mechanical experience (preferably in diesel and/or pump systems)
  • Proven experience in a service technician or similar hands-on role
  • Full UK driving licence (Category B) – essential for nationwide travel
  • Familiarity with a plant or equipment hire business is highly desirable
  • Ability to work independently and as a team player
  • Willingness to make occasional overnight work trips
  • Flexibility, proactivity, and a service-oriented mindset
