The Role
As part of a multidisciplinary/multi-agency team, the post holder will:
- Manage a highly specialist or complex caseload, applying evidence-based practice and client-centred principles to assess, plan, and implement care.
- Provide expert advice and support within a defined specialism across NHS Lanarkshire.
- Lead or manage the development and implementation of a programme of quality improvement, clinical audit, and research activity.
- Lead the supervision, education, and development of team members.
- Provide effective leadership within the scope of the role.
Note: This is a fixed-term post (12 months). Where an existing NHS Lanarkshire staff member applies for this temporarily funded role, it will be treated as a secondment. Applicants must have pre-approved written agreement from their line manager before applying.

Key Responsibilities
- Develop advanced competence, innovation, and leadership in managing and delivering safe, effective, person-centred care in your area of practice.
- Role model exemplary facilitation and teaching skills, fostering skill development in others.
- Provide strong and effective leadership across professional and organisational teams/boundaries.
- Act as a role model for the wider team by promoting a positive research culture.
What You’ll Bring
- Registered Healthcare Practitioner with valid UK registration (NMC or HCPC).
- Educated to, or actively working towards/operating at, Masters Level.
- Postgraduate expertise within their specialty/area of practice, demonstrating broad knowledge to lead safety, effectiveness, and efficiency.
- Comprehensive understanding of clinical guidelines and standards in the specialty.
- Full UK/EU/EEA Driving Licence.
