GIS Data Analyst – 12-Month FTC | Remote (UK-only) | £35,000
Peaple Talent have partnered with a leading UK PropTech organisation to recruit a GIS Data Analyst for a 12-month fixed-term contract. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of the UK Government’s most ambitious digital transformation programmes.
As a GIS Data Analyst, you’ll work with digital and manual data sources to ensure accuracy, consistency, and high-quality outputs throughout the transformation. The role demands problem-solving and precision—ideal for someone who thrives on handling complex data challenges while collaborating effectively across teams.
About the Role
- Central role in cleaning, analysing, and transforming large datasets from varied sources
- Ensuring data integrity through auditable processes
- Working closely with both technical and non-technical stakeholders

Key Responsibilities
- Analyse and cleanse complex, multi-source datasets (both digital and manual)
- Detect and resolve data issues (geometry, formatting errors, inconsistencies)
- Document transformation rules and maintain clear audit trails
- Collaborate with engineers to define technical requirements
- Present findings in a structured, readable format for decision-makers
Essential Requirements
- Strong proficiency in advanced Excel and SQL
- Experience in spatial data analysis (QGIS, ArcGIS, similar GIS tools)
- Proven track record of cleansing, validating, and optimising datasets
- Strong analytical mindset and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication skills (able to engage across all levels)

Highly desirable traits:
- Exposure to geospatial technologies (GPX, PostGIS, GeoJSON)
- Certification or training in GIS/data governance standards
