Geography Teacher

Geography Teacher (KS3 & KS4 Only)

Location: Newham, East London (Manor Park)

Contract: Starting at 4-weeks, extension upon review

Working Hours:

  • Monday to Friday, 8:30 am – 4:00 pm
  • Early finish on Fridays

Pay: £150–£185 per day (No marking or planning outside of teaching schedule)

About The Role

We are seeking an enthusiastic and knowledgeable Geography Teacher to join a dedicated Humanities department. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Delivering engaging and challenging Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 & 4
  • Inspiring students to develop a deeper understanding of the world while promoting academic progress

Key Responsibilities

  • Plan and deliver high-quality Geography lessons for both KS3 & KS4
  • Assess, monitor, and support student progress and attainment
  • Differentiate learning to cater to students of varying abilities
  • Create a positive and engaging classroom environment
  • Uphold the school’s aims, ethos, and standards
  • Maintain high behavioural and classroom management expectations

Requirements

  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Strong subject expertise in Geography
  • Experience teaching Secondary Geography in the UK
  • Relevant degree in Geography, Humanities, or a related discipline
  • Excellent communication and classroom management skills
  • Commitment to helping all students reach their potential
