We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Geography Teacher to join a successful and welcoming secondary school in Tooting from September 2026. This is an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic educator to inspire students to develop a deeper understanding of the world around them through engaging and challenging Geography lessons.

Responsibilities
- Plan and deliver engaging, creative, and differentiated Geography lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Teach Key Stage 5 Geography, where appropriate, depending on experience and departmental requirements
- Inspire students in developing curiosity about the physical and human world
- Assess, monitor, and track student progress using effective assessments to raise attainment
- Create a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment where all students can succeed
- Ensure high standards of behaviour, engagement, and achievement
- Collaborate with colleagues in the Humanities department to share best practice and develop the curriculum
- Contribute to enrichment opportunities, fieldwork, and wider school life as appropriate
- Follow safeguarding procedures and school policies strictly

Essential Criteria
- UK Qualified Teacher Status (QTS), or expected by September 2026 (essential)
- Ability to teach Geography across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Strong subject knowledge and enthusiasm for Geography
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills
- Ability to deliver engaging, differentiated lessons that excite and challenge students
- Commitment to safeguarding and promoting children’s welfare
Preferred Criteria
- Experience teaching Key Stage 5 Geography
- Proven success in raising attainment across Key Stages 3 and 4
- Experience in organising or supporting Geography fieldwork and enrichment activities
- Commitment to extracurricular contributions
- Enthusiasm for continuous professional development and collaborative teaching
