About the Role

Geography graduates with 1st or 2:1 degrees needed for a full-time term-time teaching assistant position.

Location: Outstanding graded Secondary School and Sixth Form, Fulham, Central West London

Salary: £510 to £550 per week, plus additional benefits

The Opportunity

Key Responsibilities

  • Support geography teaching for students aged 11–18 (KS3–KS5) across all ability groups
    • Top performers and those with barriers to progression
  • Assist the geography teaching team daily
    • Scaffold learning, differentiate resources, and support progressive pupil development
  • Aligned with teacher training aspirations
    • Meet the September 2027 training route requirement for qualified teacher status

Requirements

Educational & Qualifications

  • Geo-UK graduate degree holder with at least a 2nd-class upper (2:1) or first class honours
    • Or expected to achieve this soon
  • Matching A level prizes (if enrolled) are preferred
  • C/GCEB passes (or equivalent) in
    • English and Maths at GCSE (or higher)
  • Must show clear enthusiasm for geography teaching and future teacher training certification
