JOB DESCRIPTION

NM Group is a leading provider of asset mapping, modelling and engineering solutions using a range of data capture methods: LiDAR, photography and other remotely sensed data. We are looking for candidates keen on starting a career in our production teams, using Remote Sensing, GIS and Electricity Engineering skillsets.

We are seeking enthusiastic and capable individuals to fulfil the role of Geospatial Processor in our expanding company. The successful candidate would be responsible for the post-processing of a range of remotely sensed data captured by our field teams.

Typically, the roles of a Geospatial Processor involve:

  • Production of spatially accurate LiDAR point clouds and orthorectified sets of aerial imagery
  • Classification, mapping and spatial modelling of data
  • Modelling Power Line circuits and networks as well as producing various reports using PLS CADD software.

Ideally the candidate will have knowledge of one or more of the following areas: LiDAR and Remote Sensing, Surveying, GIS, Electrical or Civil Engineering. Those with a more general geospatial, mathematical or scientific background are welcome to apply for the role and full training is provided.

One of the important aspects of our work is to ensure that the outputs are produced to a high standard and that the spatial accuracy of the data complies with specification, meaning that close attention to detail is required. The candidate should be able to demonstrate critical thinking and an innovative approach to problem solving.

It is essential that the candidate is IT literate and confident in the use of Microsoft Office and Google applications, it would also be advantageous to have experience in CAD/GIS software.
