A dynamic multi-disciplinary consultancy is seeking to bolster its Derby team with an enthusiastic Geotechnical Engineer. You’ll work on residential developments, gaining exposure to geotechnical design and geoenvironmental projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Planning and supervising ground investigations
  • Logging soil and rock coro*nd industry standards
  • Producing factual and interpretative geotechnical reports
  • Undertaking geotechnical assessments and foundation recommendations
  • Supporting residential development projects
  • Assisting with slope stability, retaining wall, and foundation design
  • Expanding geoenvironmental knowledge (including contaminated land assessments)
  • Liaising with clients, contractors, and project teams

Requirements

  • Degree in one of the following (or related discipline):
    • Geology
    • Engineering Geology
    • Geotechnical Engineering
  • Consultancy experience in geotechnical engineering or ground investigations
  • Strong understanding of geotechnical principles
  • Exceptional report writing and communication skills
  • Full UK driving licence (required for project site access)
  • Willingness to learn, with an enthusiastic attitude
