Geotechnical Site Technician
Job Summary
Kiwa CMT is seeking an experienced Geotechnical Site Technician to join our team. This role primarily involves on-site work at various construction projects, with some duties based in our Derby laboratory. You will be responsible for conducting high-quality testing services mainly around the Midlands, ensuring compliance with industry standards.
About The Role
Carry out geotechnical site and laboratory testing Ensure equipment is in current calibration and pre-test checks are completed Ensure that test equipment is checked regularly and functioning correctly, and that any failures, defects or damage is reported via current systems Use and maintain equipment with all due care and ensure that weekly checks are carried out Ensure that all necessary test information, results and QC data are recorded in the manner required by current procedures Maintain good site working practice at all times
Do you have what it takes?
Experience in Geotechnical testing Knowledge and experience of site and lab-based geotechnical test methods The ability to support training and development of other technicians Ability to calibrate test equipment Motivated and focussed, with a positive outlook/approach Be flexible – some possible overtime and weekend work applies to the role Be able to work with a varied workload Communication is key for this role; you will be able to make an impact and work well within a team Ability to work with minimal supervision Hold a full UK driving licence Holds CSCS card

What can you expect from us in return?
