German Games Tester in Liverpool

[Multilingual Localisation Quality Assurance (LQA) Tester]

Play it. Break it. Perfect it.

At Universally Speaking, you don’t just play games—you make them flawless. We’re seeking linguistic perfectionists who thrive on precision and care deeply about crafting exceptional gaming experiences.

You’ll immerse yourself in new worlds, meticulously examining every linguistic nuance, and ensure every word, phrase, and line resonates perfectly with players worldwide. The role demands hands-on precision, operates at a fast pace, and delivers nothing short of the highest quality experience for global audiences.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Collaborate closely with talented testers, translators, and developers—reporting linguistic issues clearly and relentlessly championing their resolution. If your motto is “motivated by detail” and you live for games that elevate player experience, this is where you belong.
  • Act as the guardian of language across every game you touch, ensuring every menu, in-game message, and dialogue feels natural, accurate, and culturally authentic.
  • Test games like a pro using proven Universally Speaking LQA methods—the industry benchmark for linguistic quality assurance. Nothing escapes scrutiny; every detail matters.
  • Drive reports that deliver by documenting linguistic issues in professional bug databases, tracking fixes, and validating further improvements.
  • Evolve from tester to trusted LQA expert, owning projects from indie titles to AAA blockbusters. Master the full testing cycle: creation, execution, reporting, and refinement.
  • Write and refine test cases, document insights, and establish best practices in LQA to set new standards.
  • Engage early with developers and teams, shaping the localisation testing process itself and embedding quality expertise from the outset.
  • Initiate continuous improvement: Identify smarter workflows, amplify knowledge-sharing, and push boundaries to raise industry standards.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
