German Speaking Accounts Payable Lead

Are you an experienced Accounts Payable professional ready to take ownership of a regional AP function?

Do you thrive in fast-paced, detail-driven environments where accuracy and accountability are critical?

Are you confident managing supplier relationships while driving process improvements and efficiencies?

MacGregor Black are partnering with a Premium Homewares brand on the search for an Accounts Payable Lead. This is a permanent role based in London.

This role will take ownership of the end-to-end Accounts Payable process across the region, ensuring financial integrity, strong controls, and best-in-class supplier management. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a growing international business, operating at the intersection of design, quality, and consumer excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage the full AP cycle, ensuring invoices are processed accurately and on time
  • Perform 3-way matching across purchase orders, goods receipts, and invoices
  • Prepare and execute payment runs with appropriate approvals
  • Reconcile supplier statements and resolve discrepancies proactively
  • Own supplier accounts, maintaining strong relationships and resolving queries efficiently
  • Support month-end close, including accruals and reconciliations
  • Ensure compliance with VAT regulations, internal controls, and company policies
  • Reconcile bank accounts with zero discrepancies
  • Maintain accurate and well-organised financial records
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with Sales, Marketing, and wider Finance teams
  • Support audits and provide required documentation
  • Drive continuous improvement and automation within AP processes

What we’re looking for?

  • 5+ years’ experience in Accounts Payable or similar finance role
  • Strong understanding of financial controls and AP processes
  • Experience working with ERP systems, ideally SAP
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Proactive mindset with the ability to resolve issues independently
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business (preferred)
  • German language skills are essential for this role
