About the Interview

This article is adapted from a podcast interview carried out by Joe Reilly, head of Circulus Group, Family Office Network based in Greenwich, Connecticut. The interview was broadcast on the Private Wealth podcast, hosted by the Ultra High Net Worth Institute.

About Kathy Lintz

Kathy Lintz is a member of the board of directors at the Institute and a prominent figure in the North American wealth management sector. This year, she won a Family Wealth Report Lifetime Achievement Award.

Background

Kathy Lintz began her financial services career at Chase Manhattan Bank in New York City, where she helped develop one of the nation's first financial education and planning programs at the Chase Exchange. This experience inspired her to become an early holder of the CFP certificate and build a fee-only comprehensive financial planning practice in St Louis.

Reasons to use Rodeo

I’m in my final year doing Economics and I don’t know whether to apply for grad schemes now or do a masters first. What do you think?

Honest answer — it depends on where you want to end up. A lot of top grad schemes (Big 4, civil service, banking) don’t need a masters. Let’s look at the ones you’d be competitive for now, and we can decide if a masters actually adds anything.

Also worth knowing: most autumn 2026 applications are open now. Timing matters more than you think.

Start with a chat, not a search bar

Grad scheme, placement, apprenticeship? Not sure what you want yet — that's fine. Your agent talks it through with you and turns "I have no idea" into a shortlist.
