Join Stoke City Football Club's dedicated team as a Physiotherapist/Sports Therapist and play a vital role in the development and wellbeing of our Girls' Academy players.
The successful applicant will be instrumental in ensuring the optimal health and performance of our Girls' Academy players, managing their care pathways and contributing to the Club's wider medical support network. You will be integral to the holistic care and injury management strategies that underpin player progression within the Girls' Academy.
Main Responsibilities
- Providing comprehensive medical cover for all Girls' Academy training sessions.
- Offering medical support for ad hoc match days for the Girls' Academy teams.
- Managing and operating evening injury clinics.
- Ensuring regular checks and maintenance of all medical equipment.
- Assisting the Women's First Team as required.
- Creating and implementing structured rehabilitation programmes for injured players to ensure a safe return to training.
- Liaising with the Club and Academy Doctor on the medical screening process.

Key Skills, Experiences and Qualifications
- Hold an undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy or Sports Therapy.
- A valid and in date Intermediate Trauma Medical Management in Football (ITMMiF) qualification is desirable.
- Demonstrable football knowledge and previous experience working within a sporting environment, particularly with youth teams.
- Experience with paediatric injuries, taping, strapping and massage would be beneficial.
A full UK drivers licence and access to your own vehicle would be advantageous.
A high degree of flexibility is needed to cover evenings and weekend training sessions, matchday fixtures and other adhoc events.
This position will be offered on a casual basis.
