GIS Solution Architect – Full-Time UK
Company: Arj.Global Ltd
Salary: Up to £45,000 a year depending on experience.
Location: UK, Remote – Required Travelling to Client’s Location – Multiple Contract Assignments
Head Office Location: Regus – Manchester, Trafford Park 4th Floor, Centenary Way Manchester M50 1RF
Arj.Global Ltd’s client is seeking a skilled GIS Solution Architect with extensive experience in ARC GIS to provide technical guidance and design leadership. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in delivering a GIS roadmap aligned with modernization program objectives and company strategy, ensuring seamless GIS integrations and optimal system efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
- Technical Guidance & Leadership: Provide technical guidance and design leadership on the GIS architecture, staying abreast of the latest ARC GIS updates and adopting where appropriate.
- GIS Roadmap Delivery: Deliver a GIS roadmap, aligned to Modernisation programme objectives and company strategy.
- ARC GIS Expertise: Provide in-depth knowledge of ARC GIS and ARCGIS Online, including customization, configuration, integration, and analytical capabilities.
- Seamless Integrations: Contribute to the design and implementation of seamless GIS integrations with enterprise applications, ensuring optimal data flow and enhancing overall system efficiency.
- Architectural Artefacts: Create and maintain GIS related architecture artefacts, including architecture diagrams, high-level designs, and decision notes.

Skills & Qualifications:
- Communication Skills: Excellent communication skills with the ability to convey complex design concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in cross-functional teams and collaborate with diverse stakeholders to translate business requirements into features and user stories.
- ARC GIS Solutions: Strong architectural, functional, and technical experience in designing and implementing comprehensive ARC GIS solutions, including integrations with other enterprise systems (e.g., ERP, CRM).
- GIS Strategies & Roadmaps: Experience in delivering GIS strategies and roadmaps.
- GIS Utility Network: Strong understanding of a GIS Utility Network data model and core processes required for implementation, ideally within the utilities sector.
- Design Leadership: Experience acting as design lead on complex implementations with other knowledgeable consultants.
- End-to-End Architecture Mapping: Experience mapping end-to-end architectures within a complex system landscape, inclusive of data and integration design.
- Team Collaboration: Experienced in working with large design and delivery teams to drive great outcomes, combining client and Systems Integrator resources.
- Architecture Governance: Experience being an active member of architecture governance forums in support of BAU or program-based design decisions.

Preferred Qualifications:
- ARC GIS & SAP Integration: Experience in designing solutions integrating ARC GIS with SAP S/4HANA and CRM platforms, using modern integration technologies.
- Analytical Dashboards: Experience delivering persona-based, GIS-centric analytical dashboards.
- Utilities Sector Experience: Strong utilities experience, particularly in customer and asset management.
- Azure API Management: Knowledge and experience working with Microsoft Azure API Management to deliver event-based integrations.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications in ARC GIS.
