GIS Technician (Asset Management Services Team)
FM Conway is delighted to be recruiting a GIS Technician to join our well-established Asset Management team. As a GIS Technician, you will collaborate with key stakeholders to manage the scope, requirements and schedule of GIS projects and contribute to the growth and success of the Asset Management Services Team by carrying out spatial asset inventory updates and ensuring our operational divisions are compliant with the requirements outlined in client contracts.
Responsibilities
The duties of the GIS Technician role will include:
- Supporting the GIS Team Manager with developing sustainable geospatial solutions to assist the business and clients with GIS requirements
- Producing accurate GIS asset inventory updates
- Creating cartographic map outputs and reports on geographic data, utilising data visualisations
- Maintaining process documentation and providing technical support to end-users
Requirements
We are looking for an experienced GIS Technician with:
- Strong knowledge of ArcGIS or similar software
- Experience with Python to create GIS tools
- Carried out on-site surveying
- Excellent organisation skills, including the ability to build effective working relationships and excellent communication
