Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Glass Cutter/IGU operative role based in Nottingham. The operative will be responsible for:

- Accurately measuring, cutting, and processing glass for double and triple glazed units, including Low‑E and safety glass, according to work orders and specifications.
- Assembling IGUs, handling warm‑edge spacer systems, sealing and inspecting units for quality, and preparing orders for installation or dispatch.
- Operating cutting and processing machinery.
- Maintaining a clean and safe workshop.
- Collaborating with colleagues in production, installation, and trade supply.
- Assisting with loading and unloading deliveries.
- Ensuring that jobs are completed on time and to company standards.

Qualifications
- Practical experience working with window and door glazing, including measuring, cutting, and assembling glass units.
- Knowledge of glazing techniques across residential and commercial applications, with an understanding of IGU construction and energy-efficient glass.
- Experience with auto glass or other precision glass work is beneficial, demonstrating accuracy and attention to detail.
- Strong customer service skills, with the ability to communicate clearly with colleagues, installers, and trade customers when required.
- Ability to read and interpret work orders, technical drawings, and measurements confidently and accurately.
- Good manual handling capability and awareness of health and safety practices in a glass workshop or manufacturing environment.
- Previous experience in glazing, manufacturing, or a related trade is preferred; training may be provided for candidates with strong practical skills.
- Reliability, teamwork, and a proactive approach to maintaining quality, productivity, and a safe working environment.
