Role Overview
HelmsBriscoe is expanding its Northern UK presence and is seeking experienced professionals from the meetings, events, or hospitality industry to join as self-employed Associates.
This opportunity is suited to individuals looking to build and run their own business, supported by a globally recognised brand, established industry relationships, and a highly collaborative network.
Associates manage venue sourcing projects for clients, from initial brief through to contract confirmation, delivering expert guidance and commercial value throughout.

Key Responsibilities
- Manage venue sourcing enquiries for meetings, conferences and events
- Build, develop and maintain strong client relationships
- Proactively generate and grow your own client base and pipeline
- Negotiate rates, terms and contracts with hotels and venues globally
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously to deadline
- Collaborate with HelmsBriscoe colleagues and industry partners
Business Development Requirement
This role requires a proactive approach to new business development.
Associates are responsible for:
- Identifying and securing new clients
- Building long-term relationships
- Developing a consistent pipeline of opportunities
Clients are not provided — success is driven by your ability to create and grow your own portfolio, with full support, training and mentoring available.
Candidate Profile
- Proven experience within meetings, events or hospitality
- Strong negotiation and communication skills
- Commercially aware and client-focused
- Self-motivated with an entrepreneurial mindset
- Able to work independently in a remote environment
- Driven to build a sustainable and scalable business
