Working closely with the Global Audit Technical Leader, the role offers the opportunity for a varied and exciting workload and the successful candidate will have responsibility for driving forward the Global Audit Methodology and associated software tools throughout the network.

Working in the Global Executive Office will afford a unique overview across all member firms and the chance for in depth involvement in both the technical and operational aspects of the Assurance practice.

The role is not static and will expand as required to address assurance challenges as the network continues to grow and as new professional standards are released.

The role is diverse and may also involve activities such as on boarding new member firms, evaluation of tools, development and delivery of training, as well as ad hoc initiatives. The role is based at the Central London Global Executive Office and will include some international travel.

• Lead initiatives to drive improvements in the Global Audit Methodology and associated software tools to keep them up to date and incorporating best practice. The role will support member firms in using the methodology and associated tools as well as actively participating in the development team for future versions. It will include identifying the needs of member firms and ensuring that these are met.

• Contribute to the activities of the Assurance Services Executive Committee that oversees the global assurance practice. This will include ensuring that internal assurance policies are up to date and formulating responses to industry consultations.

Requirements

• Previous experience of performing audits under International Standards on Auditing at Manager/Senior Manager level • Be ACA qualified or equivalent professional qualification • Strong audit technical skills and a detailed knowledge of International Standards on Auditing • Strong project management skills and the ability to balance a varied workload • Experience using CaseWare technology desirable but not essential
