The Role: Global Brand Building and Marketing Process Director
The Global Brand Building and Marketing Process Director is an executive-level role responsible for leading the implementation of our modern, comprehensive marketing strategy.
You will:
- Direct a team to establish and ingrain a unified end-to-end marketing process.
- Elevate critical marketing capabilities to best-in-class standards tailored for a social-first, agile, digital-first environment.
- Deliver unique capabilities that drive measurable growth, ensuring teams have the right processes, expertise, and tools to succeed.
Reporting to the Senior Global E2E Consumer and Expert Marketing Capability Director, you’ll oversee a team of three direct reports, this role sits within the End-to-End Consumer and Expert Marketing Capability team.
Key Responsibilities
End-to-End Process Ownership
- Own the design and governance of the global, end-to-end marketing process—ensuring it is optimised for simplicity, speed, and operational agility in consumer and expert marketing domains.
Process Simplification and Governance
- Continuously refine marketing workflows to boost efficiency and streamline cross-functional collaboration.
- Serve as the central point for process integration, ensuring seamless and synchronised ways of working.

Strategic Capability Development
- Define and build critical marketing capabilities that position Haleon as a best-in-class organisation, with a focus on:
- Condition Understanding: Expert leadership in market insight and segmentation.
- Core Brand Building: Development of distinctive brand assets and integrated communication plans.
- Expert Marketing: Technical, evidence-based branding strategies for B2B stakeholders.
- Social-First & Digital Commerce (d-Commerce): Drive capabilities aligned with emerging consumer trends.
Expert Intervention Leadership
- Establish and lead expert intervention teams that collaborate closely with brand teams on real-world challenges.
- Deploy global expertise, process standards, and innovative tools to resolve high-priority business cases.
Self-Serve Capability Management
- Oversee the development, maintenance, and governance of self-serve tools and training resources, enabling marketers to upskill independently across core competencies.
- Ensure these tools are scalable and accessible globally.
Team Leadership and Development
- Lead and manage a cross-functional team, developing expertise, fostering collaboration, and ensuring team workflows align with Category Strategy requirements.
- Empower team members to deliver high-impact outputs, with a focus on professional growth.
Strategy Implementation and Development
- Drive the design and execution of the marketing capability workplan, linking it to Global Category Strategy.
- Translate global strategy into actionable plans across capabilities, marketing workflows, and market systems—ensuring smooth and impactful delivery.
Stakeholder Management
- Build and maintain strong, advocating relationships with key senior stakeholders globally.
- Ensure alignment, commitment, and adoption of marketing capability initiatives, processes, and tools.
Qualifications and Skills
Essential
✅ Proven senior marketing leadership experience—with a dynamic track record of driving capability transformation within a global consumer health or CPG/FMCG organisation. ✅ Expertise in designing, implementing, and governing end-to-end marketing processes—navigating a matrixed organisational structure with agility. ✅ Experience developing and executing large-scale global marketing capability programmes, including expert-led interventions and self-service learning models. ✅ Strong practical experience in brand-building, a proven portfolio of brand strategies, distinctive brand assets, and integrated campaigns with demonstrated commercial performance. ✅ Direct experience in transforming marketing functions, embedding innovative ways of working across global and local teams. ✅ Thought leadership in modern marketing disciplines:
- Social-first strategies
- Digital Commerce (d-commerce)
- Data-driven marketing frameworks ✅ Ability to influence senior leadership in a multi-regional setting, ensuring cross-functional accountability for execution.
