About the Role

The Global Brand Building and Marketing Process Director leads the implementation of Haleon’s modern marketing strategy. This individual will establish and embed a unified, end-to-end marketing process while fostering critical, best-in-class marketing capabilities.

The role sits within Marketing Excellence’s End-to-End Consumer and Expert Marketing Capability team, reporting to the Senior Global E2E Consumer and Expert Marketing Capability Director, and leads a team of 3 direct reports.


Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-End Process Ownership
    • Design and govern a single, optimised marketing process from strategy to execution, ensuring simplicity, speed, and agility across consumer and expert marketing.

  • Process Simplification & Governance

    • Continuously improve marketing workflows and act as the central point for process integration, ensuring connected and efficient ways of working.
  • Strategic Capability Development

    • Define and build differentiating marketing capabilities (focusing on condition understanding, core and expert marketing, social-first strategies, and digital commerce) to position Haleon as a best-in-class player.
  • Expert Intervention Leadership

    • Establish and lead expert intervention teams to solve priority business challenges, leveraging global standards, tools, and direct brand team collaboration.
  • Self-Serve Capability Management

    • Oversee development and maintenance of self-service tools and learning resources for core marketing competencies.
  • Team Leadership & Development

    • Manage a small team, developing their expertise and aligning workflows with Category Strategy and marketer requirements.
  • Strategy Translation & Implementation

    • Drive the marketing capability workplan, translating Global Category Strategy into actionable plans and ensuring successful delivery.
  • Stakeholder Management

    • Build advocating relationships with senior internal stakeholders globally to ensure alignment, commitment, and adoption of Marketing Capability processes and tools.

Qualifications & Skills

Essential

  • Senior marketing experience in driving a capability agenda within a global consumer health or CPG/FMCG organisation
  • Leadership proven in designing, implementing, and governing end-to-end marketing processes in complex, matrixed organisations
  • Experience developing global marketing capability programmes, blending expert-led interventions and self-serve learning models
  • Practitioner background in brand building, including strategy, distinctive brand assets, and integrated communication plans that drive commercial results
  • Experience leading marketing transformation initiatives and embedding new ways of working across global and local teams
  • Team leadership experience, having guided marketing professionals
  • Deep understanding of modern marketing disciplines—social-first strategies, digital commerce, and data-driven marketing
  • Proven ability to manage and influence senior stakeholders in a global environment
