Join Aon's market-leading Credit Solutions team as a Client Director

Where you'll work with some of the UK's largest and most sophisticated Trade Credit Insurance programmes, partnering with clients, insurers and colleagues across our global network. This role offers the flexibility to work both virtually and from our London, Reading or Chelmsford offices.

What the day will look like

As a Client Director within our Credit Solutions team, you will play a key role in developing and leading strategic client relationships, delivering experienced advice and helping clients navigate an increasingly complex trade credit risk environment.

Acting as a trusted adviser, you'll work closely with clients, insurers and Aon's global network to secure the best possible outcomes and drive long-term success.

Key Responsibilities Will Include

  • Leading and developing a portfolio of strategic clients, acting as the lead broker and trusted adviser.
  • Providing expert market-facing advice and delivering tailored Credit Insurance solutions aligned to clients' commercial objectives.
  • Leading the marketing, placement, renewal and negotiation of global Credit Insurance programmes with insurers to secure competitive and effective outcomes.
  • Building and maintaining strong relationships with insurers, leveraging market insights and carrier relationships to maximise value for clients.
  • Coordinating the implementation and ongoing servicing of multinational Credit Insurance programmes through Aon's global network.
  • Presenting market intelligence, insurer appetite and industry trends to support client decision-making and risk strategy.
  • Supporting clients with credit limit appeals, policy interpretation and complex risk issues, acting as an advocate on their behalf.
  • Negotiating policy terms and conditions to ensure clients receive the most effective protection available.
  • Providing advice on credit risk management strategies, working capital optimisation and Credit Insurance programme design.
  • Overseeing claims activity and managing negotiations with insurers to achieve successful claim settlements.
  • Identifying opportunities to cross-sell Aon's wider capabilities and supporting new business development initiatives within the Credit Solutions practice.
  • Collaborating with colleagues across broking, analytics, claims and multinational teams to deliver exceptional client service.

You'll have the autonomy to build and develop your own client relationships whilst benefiting from the scale, expertise and resources of Aon's global Credit Solutions practice. Working alongside highly experienced specialists across broking, analytics, claims and multinational programme delivery, you'll gain exposure to sophisticated global programmes and have the platform to make a genuine impact for clients.

Skills And Experience That Will Lead To Success

  • Trade Credit Insurance experience is essential.
  • Experience gained within a Credit Insurance broker, insurer or client-side credit risk environment.
  • Strong technical understanding of Trade Credit Insurance products, policy wordings, programme structures and market dynamics.
  • Experience managing and developing senior client relationships and acting as a trusted adviser.
  • Strong knowledge of insurer appetite, credit limit management, programme placement and negotiation.
  • Commercially minded, analytical and solutions-focused, with the ability to identify growth opportunities and deliver exceptional client service.
  • Experience supporting multinational or complex corporate Credit Insurance programmes would be highly advantageous.
  • ACII qualification (or working towards) would be beneficial.
