Summary - basic function of role

We are seeking a Global Commercial Excellence Leader to join our business on a remote basis within the UK. This is a global leadership role with broad cross-functional exposure, focused on driving commercial excellence initiatives across our international operations and supporting the continued evolution of our commercial capabilities.

The Global Commercial Excellence Leader will be responsible for the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of standardized commercial processes across all regions. The role will lead the global deployment of the Enerpac Customer Excellence (ECX) framework, ensuring consistent execution of sales best practices, sales enablement programs, and CRM (Salesforce) optimization initiatives.

Working closely with regional commercial leadership teams across the Americas, EMEA, and APAC, this individual will help enhance sales effectiveness, improve customer experience, and support sustainable business growth through data-driven decision making, process alignment, and capability development.

This role requires an experienced commercial excellence professional with a proven track record of implementing global programs, leading transformation initiatives, and influencing senior stakeholders within complex international organizations.

Job Duties and Responsibilities

Global Commercial Excellence Strategy

  • Lead the global rollout and governance of the Enerpac Customer Excellence (ECX) framework.
  • Define and standardize core sales processes, tools, and KPIs across Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Ensure alignment between global strategy and regional execution while allowing for appropriate local adaptation.
  • Identify opportunities to improve commercial effectiveness and consistency across the organization.

Program Implementation & Transformation

  • Drive the implementation of global commercial excellence initiatives, including change management and adoption strategies.
  • Establish governance models, performance tracking, and continuous improvement mechanisms.
  • Lead cross-functional initiatives focused on improving commercial effectiveness and operational efficiency.
  • Support the successful delivery of transformation projects within a matrixed global environment.

Sales Enablement

  • Develop and implement global sales enablement programs, including training, coaching frameworks, and competency development initiatives.
  • Partner with regional commercial leaders to support capability building across sales teams.
  • Support structured approaches to pipeline management, account planning, and value-based selling methodologies.
  • Promote consistent sales processes and commercial best practices globally.

CRM & Salesforce Optimization

  • Lead the global Salesforce strategy to support standardized commercial processes and reporting.
  • Drive CRM adoption and effective system utilization across regions.
  • Partner with IT and commercial teams to enhance reporting capability, functionality, and data quality.
  • Support the development of actionable commercial insights through improved CRM usage and analytics.

Stakeholder Engagement

  • Act as a strategic partner to regional commercial leaders and senior stakeholders.
  • Build effective relationships across functions, regions, and cultures.
  • Facilitate collaboration and the sharing of commercial best practices globally.
  • Support alignment between regional priorities and global commercial objectives.

Performance Management & Analytics

  • Define and monitor global commercial KPIs and reporting dashboards.
  • Use data and analytics to identify trends, opportunities, and performance gaps.
  • Deliver insights that support sales productivity, operational effectiveness, and customer outcomes.
  • Promote a data-driven approach to commercial decision making.

Education and Experience

Required

  • 10+ years of experience within commercial excellence, sales operations, sales enablement, or commercial leadership roles.
  • Proven experience implementing global commercial programs across multiple regions, including Americas, EMEA, and APAC.
  • Experience leading large-scale transformation initiatives within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Strong understanding of sales processes, commercial operations, and CRM systems, ideally Salesforce.
  • Demonstrated change management and stakeholder engagement capability at senior leadership level.
  • Experience working across international teams, cultures, and time zones.

Preferred

  • Experience within industrial, manufacturing, engineering, or B2B environments.
  • Previous experience implementing standardized commercial excellence frameworks or operating models.
  • Familiarity with Lean, continuous improvement, or operational excellence methodologies.
  • Experience using data and analytics to drive commercial performance improvements.
