Communications Manager – The Balvenie

As Communications Manager, you will play a pivotal role in turning our global strategy into impactful, omnichannel campaigns. You’ll ensure our brand appears consistently and brilliantly across markets—connecting creativity, media, and execution to deliver work that resonates with our audience.
This role sits at the heart of delivery: translating ambition into action, aligning stakeholders, and making things happen.

Main Responsibilities
Global Campaign Leadership
- Lead end-to-end delivery of The Balvenie’s global communications, translating strategy into impactful, omnichannel campaigns executed with clarity, consistency, and precision across markets.
- Ensure insight-led thinking guides every stage—from briefing through to campaign optimisation.
- Develop target audience strategies, ensuring messaging and content align with consumer needs.

Global Brand Coordination
- Establish robust planning and execution frameworks, including campaign calendars, toolkits, and guidelines for markets to follow.
- Collaborate directly with priority markets to ensure global assets and brand guidelines are adopted while maintaining cultural relevance.
- Work with partners to ensure adherence to global brand standards without losing local nuance.
Agency & Stakeholder Work
- Lead full campaign lifecycles with creative, digital, and media agencies, from briefing and development through to execution and performance evaluation.
- Optimise media planning principles to maximise impact and investment ROI across markets.
- Align stakeholder expectations while maintaining on-time, on-budget delivery and creative excellence.
Data & Performance Insights
- Partner with Global Insights teams to analyse consumer trends, behaviours, and competitive dynamics.
- Continuously test and refine creative assets to boost effectiveness and engagement.
- Monitor performance metrics, track industry trends, and contribute to strategic optimisation.
Brand Governance & Compliance
- Uphold William Grant Way of Building Brands standards, ensuring all communications align with marketing codes and governance principles.
- Shape the brand’s social and CRM strategies, reporting performance and guiding refinements.
Strategic Reporting & Planning
- Operate under established frameworks to support business planning, reporting insights and performance tracking in line with strategic objectives.

Requirements for the Role
The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker with hands-on operational skills—someone who thrives on bringing creative work to life.
Experience & Skills
✔ Proven expertise in global brand communications or integrated campaign delivery. ✔ Deep understanding of digital and media ecosystems, including omnichannel platforms. ✔ Strong ability to manage agencies, timelines, and multi-stakeholder projects. ✔ Highly organised, with strategic clarity and execution precision. ✔ Skilled in cross-cultural communications and influencing without formal authority. ✔ Driven by quality, attention to detail, and continuous improvement.
