The Global Corporate Trust team supports financial institutions, corporates, and lenders with essential trustee and agency services, covering:
- Account bank
- Agent bank
- Collateral administrator
- Custodian
- Escrow agent
- Facility agent
- Paying agent
- Security agent
- Trustee
This role focuses on transaction and relationship management for Conventional Debt, including high-yield and investment-grade bonds.
Job Description
Responsibilities
The Transaction / Relationship Manager (Conventional Debt) at Elavon will:
- Manage key client relationships, driving profitability and customer retention.
- Review and negotiate deal documents—aligning transactions with U.S. Bancorp policies, regulatory requirements, and business objectives.
- Lead pre-closing and closing processes, coordinating internal and external stakeholders (legal, operations, analytics, client representatives).
- Propose fee structures based on market best practices, tailored to deal complexity.
- Develop a targeted customer outreach program to enhance relationship growth and satisfaction.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and legal/policy changes impacting debt transactions.
- Coordinate internal deal set-up, review processes, and ad-hoc amendments (waivers, consents) for existing deals.
- Actively manage closing/growth of fee revenue through cost-efficiency improvements and automation initiatives.
- Ensure compliance with:
- Account opening/SAR (Suspicious Activity Reporting) procedures
- KYC/AML/BSA regulations
- U.S. Bancorp’s Code of Ethics, training, and ethics standards
- Partner with sales/relationship marketing to identify new business opportunities.
- Update existing clients on governance, compliance status, and fiduciary obligations.
- Report on and resolve customer issues, escalating as necessary to specialised units.
- Collaborate with onboarding teams to fulfil KYC/KYB requirements for all counterparties.

Education and Experience Requirements

Education: Bachelor’s degree or 5–7 years of relevant experience in a related field.
- Preferred: Legal education, Corporate Trust, or transaction/relationship management experience.

Industry Knowledge: Strong proficiency in:
- Trusted- and agency-related documentation for debt capital markets.
- Executive decision-making in contention-relevant scenarios, prioritising relationship growth.
